Vintage Sheaffer Balance Lever Fill Fountain Pen is an exceptional example of one of the most influential fountain pen designs of the twentieth century. Introduced in the late 1920s, the Sheaffer Balance helped redefine pen design with its streamlined, torpedo-shaped silhouette, moving away from the flat-top styles that had previously dominated the market. This particular pen dates from approximately 1931–1932 and retains its original Sheaffer's Lifetime 14k gold broad stub nib, prized for its expressive line variation and smooth writing character.
Professionally restored and fully serviced, this Balance remains in remarkable condition for its age, with only slight darkening to the celluloid that reflects the natural ageing of this historic material. The traditional lever-filling mechanism preserves the authentic writing experience of the period, making this pen equally appealing to collectors and those who appreciate writing with vintage instruments.
