Platinum #3776 Century Chartres Blue Fountain Pen
Leave the Platinum #3776 Century Chartres Blue Fountain Pen capped in a drawer for a few weeks and it should still write on the first stroke when you come back to it. Platinum’s airtight Slip & Seal cap is the reason, and it makes this a good choice if you rotate between several pens. This one is a deep translucent blue with gold-plated trim.
The lightweight resin body and smooth 14k gold nib are what make the #3776 one of our most recommended Japanese pens.
All eight nib sizes are available, from Ultra Extra Fine to Music. Japanese nibs run finer than European ones, so a Platinum Fine is closer to a European Extra Fine. The pen comes with a converter and a Platinum cartridge, and an adapter for international cartridges is available.

Promotional discount codes cannot be combined with shipping discounts, including Correspondents' Club free standard shipping, free expedited shipping, and the same-day delivery discount. If a promotional discount code is applied to your order, the code takes effect and shipping is charged at the standard rate.
This does not apply to loyalty points redemptions, which can be used together with shipping discounts. See our Terms of Service for full details.
Oversized items
Some items incur an additional flat-rate shipping fee due to their dimensions. This is applied automatically at checkout.
