Pelikan Souverän M1000 Fountain Pen
The Pelikan Souverän M1000 Fountain Pen is Pelikan’s largest Souverän. Its oversized 18k gold nib has the most flex in the range, with a little give that rewards a light hand. It is a pen to sit down with for a long letter.
The piston holds plenty of ink and fills straight from the bottle. Choose the classic Black-Green stripe or all Black, both with gold-plated trim, and an Extra Fine, Fine, Medium or Broad nib. Like most Pelikan nibs, it runs a little wet, so an Extra Fine writes closer to a Fine.
To try the M1000 against the smaller Souveräns, visit us at 25 Bellair in Yorkville, or book an appointment. Read more in our Pelikan brand feature.
Why we love it
"Big, balanced, and built to last. The large 18 karat nib’s got a lot of satisfying flex, which gives my writing more character. The overall design hasn’t changed much in years and features Pelikan's signature green striped barrel and beak clip. That's why it’s earned its reputation as a classic, and why change a classic?"
"I have found myself reaching for my Pelikan M1000 often these days. Its beautiful Extra Fine nib, the classic Green/Black colourway, and the reliability of Pelikan make it a joy to write with everyday."
