Kaweco AL Sport Fountain Pen
The Kaweco AL Sport Fountain Pen is the octagonal Sport in anodized aluminum, with more heft than the plastic Sport and the same compact size: 10.5 cm capped, full length with the cap posted.
The Sport shape dates from 1911. Choose Deep Red or Raw Aluminum, with a steel nib in Extra Fine, Fine, Medium or Broad. It takes short international cartridges or the Kaweco Sport mini converter.
If you’re new to fountain pens, our guide to Choosing Your First Fountain Pen is a good place to start.
Why we love it
"After being told the raw aluminum Kaweco won't keep its mirror-like finish for very long, I wanted to see how they patina. I put one in with my keys and coins, and after several months, I was in love with the delicate change. It reminded me of my sterling pens, charming and well-loved. The Kaweco Sports are perfectly portable and they would be great to have going from class to class or meeting to meeting."
