Exacompta FAF Pad
Tear a sheet from the Exacompta FAF Pad and it comes away cleanly along the micro-perforations, while the aluminum and brass base stays put. We’ve had one on the counter at Laywine’s for over 20 years. FAF stands for feuille à feuille, sheet by sheet, and the pads have been made in Paris for more than 50 years, in Exacompta’s building on the Canal Saint-Martin.
The base is heavy enough that you can write without holding it. Each pad has 200 sheets of 60gsm paper, and comes with a blank insert. Refills are available when you reach the end.
There are three sizes: No. 2 (16 x 10 cm), No. 3 (18.5 x 11.5 cm) and No. 4 (21 x 13.5 cm). If you’re not sure, the No. 3 suits most desks.
Why we love it
"The FAF No. 3 is probably one of the best organizational tools I've ever purchased. Grocery lists? Before bed brain dump? Chaotic doodling? It can all find a place on a FAF with it's clean tear-off perforations and discreet size."
"I'm always looking for somewhere to write quick notes at my desk at home, and the Faf pad is my go-to. Refillable and available in three different sizes, it can fit into almost any space and won't budge from its place. A trusty companion for scribblers like myself, or those who need to jot down quick notes from phone calls or ideas that pop into their head. And the brass finishing adds an aged elegance to the pad — knowing it'll patina with grace and take on a character of its own."
