Caran d'Ache 849 Fountain Pen
The Caran d'Ache 849 Fountain Pen puts a nib in the hexagonal 849 body, so it feels familiar if you already carry the ballpoint. The aluminum keeps it light for everyday writing.
Choose Black, Sapphire Blue, White, Fluoro Orange or Fluoro Pink, with an Extra Fine, Fine or Medium nib. It takes standard international cartridges or a converter, not included, and Caran d'Ache recommends its Chromatics inks.
If you’re new to fountain pens, our guide to Choosing Your First Fountain Pen is a good place to start. Read more in our Caran d'Ache brand feature.

Discounts and shipping
Promotional discount codes cannot be combined with shipping discounts, including Correspondents' Club free standard shipping, free expedited shipping, and the same-day delivery discount. If a promotional discount code is applied to your order, the code takes effect and shipping is charged at the standard rate.
This does not apply to loyalty points redemptions, which can be used together with shipping discounts. See our Terms of Service for full details.
Oversized items
Some items incur an additional flat-rate shipping fee due to their dimensions. This is applied automatically at checkout.
