Living in a city that experiences all four seasons so vividly is always a gift. For some, autumn carries a slight chill of warning that winter is on its way, bringing unpredictable Canadian months ahead. For me, fall feels like a breath of fresh air. The bright, sunny afternoons of summer may be drawing to a close, and the turning clocks will soon steal an hour of daylight, but the crisp air and vibrant leaves bring a wonderful sense of calm. Thanksgiving always kickstarts this season, inviting us to slow down and cherish time with loved ones and holiday fanfare to come.

Every holiday brings a natural moment for reflection, but this Thanksgiving, we are looking forward. Having just begun our 40th year, this milestone has filled us with immense gratitude for everyone who has been part of our story. We are thankful for those who have stood by us for decades, those who stopped by for doorway pick-ups during the pandemic, friends who moved away but continue to support us online, and new faces who wander into our shop every day. Whether you have been with us for 40 years or just a few days, thank you for your continuous support.

We have always cherished informal ways of showing our appreciation—a heartfelt handwritten note, a lovingly wrapped package, an extra pack of cartridges, or a warm conversation at the end of a long day. Now, we are delighted to make that gratitude official.
