Yard-O-Led

All Yard-O-Led writing instruments are made by hand in Birmingham.  This English company can trace its lineage back to the 1820’s, but the Yard-O-Led Company dates back to 1934. Each pen and pencil is stamped with the appropriate sterling silver hallmarks, and an individual number. Almost all the current models and finishes are taken from Yard-O-Led’s archives, so they have a real vintage look and feel. Over the years, a rite of passage for many Laywine's employees has been the purchase of their first Yard-O-Led. The propelling pencils all store a dozen substantial 3-inch leads inside their barrels: 36 inches to the Yard! And Sterling Silver only tarnishes when you don’t use it; the oils from your hands keep it naturally polished. So, hold on to it!
