Platinum #3776 Century Fuji Unkei "Kinu-Gumo" Fountain Pen

The Platinum #3776 Century Fuji Unkei “Kinu-Gumo” is the third release in the Fuji Unkei series, a line of limited edition fountain pens inspired by the ever-changing skies around Mt. Fuji. A continuation of Platinum’s tradition of artful storytelling in writing instruments, Kinu-Gumo captures the ethereal beauty of cirrus clouds—light, feathery formations said to resemble silk (“kinu” in Japanese).

To evoke this delicate skyscape, Platinum combines guilloché engraving and V-blade engraving across the pen’s clear resin barrel and cap, intentionally leaving portions untouched to suggest the soft drift of clouds against an open sky. The result is both visual and tactile—a pen that plays with light and shadow, movement and stillness.

Each pen features a rhodium-plated 14k gold nib, available in Extra Fine, Fine, or Medium, and includes Platinum’s proprietary Slip & Seal Mechanism to prevent ink from drying out, even after prolonged periods of inactivity. As with all in the Fuji series, the interior of the finial dome contains a miniature Mt. Fuji motif and is individually numbered as part of this limited release of 2,500 pieces worldwide.
