"There are certain pens where everything about the ergonomics, nib feel, and aesthetics, really speaks to me. The Aurora Optima is one such pen. The nib is smooth with the tiniest bit of feedback, which gives it so much character. The grip section is flared near the end, making it quite comfortable to hold and use for long sessions. And the body colour is stunning; it really catches the light and is almost as fun to look at as it is to use!"

"Pineider is known for their lovely leather and paper products, so what could be better than a combination of both? The paper is textured, but takes fountain pen ink without bleeding or feathering. It's also this lovely cream coloured paper, with a silver gilt edge for a little added pizzazz. Combine that with a beautifully supple leather cover, and it's one of the most luxurious notebooks we have in the store."

"I've been loving rich browns and reds in my pens as of late, and the one bottle I find myself refilling from the most is Diamine Red Dragon. While red might not be peoples' first choice for journaling, the dark red is surprisingly legible and puts me in a festive mood (especially when paired with a green pen!)"

"I've been fortunate enough to have a few pens I like to take around with me, and for that you definitely need a nice pen case to protect them. This one from Wingback is made from a stiff leather with three compartments for your everyday carry. I especially like this one because it fastens securely with a decorative snap button, and has an additional compartment in the back to hold a few pieces of paper to jot down quick notes. I like the British Racing Green colour to match the Aurora Optima Foutnain Pen in Green!"
