Pelikan Souverän M805 Fountain Pen
The Pelikan Souverän M805 Fountain Pen writes exactly like the M800, with the same proportions, the same brass piston mechanism and the same 18k gold nib. The difference is the rhodium-plated trim, which gives the classic Souverän a cooler, more modern look.
The M800 size suits writers who like some weight in the hand. Pelikan nibs tend to run wet, and the larger ones have a little flex, so an Extra Fine can write closer to a Fine when you press a bit harder. The nib unit unscrews for cleaning, and the piston draws a full barrel of ink from the bottle in one go. Choose Black-Blue or the Black-Anthracite Stresemann stripe, with an Extra Fine, Fine or Medium nib.
Pelikan started as an ink maker in Hanover in 1838 and introduced its first fountain pen, with a differential piston, in 1929. The Souverän line is the result of almost a century of refining that design. Read more in our Pelikan brand feature.
To try the M805 at the counter, visit us at 25 Bellair in Yorkville, or book an appointment and we’ll help you choose the right nib.
