Pelikan Souverän M1000 Raden Stardust “Hoshikuzu” Limited Edition Fountain Pen brings together two distinct traditions of craftsmanship, uniting Pelikan’s long-standing expertise in writing instruments with the refined decorative arts of Japan. This limited edition draws on the Raden technique, transforming the surface of the pen into a field of shifting light inspired by stardust across a night sky.
Created in collaboration with Yamazaki Mushu and the Hoshu-kai collective—masters of Kaga maki-e based in Ishikawa Prefecture—the design begins with a deep black Urushi lacquer base, evoking the depth of the cosmos. Onto this surface, three types of finely crushed abalone shell are applied using a traditional Funzutsu tube, forming vertical bands that shimmer with changing tones of violet, blue, green, and silver as the pen moves through light.
The Raden work is sealed beneath multiple layers of clear lacquer, then carefully polished to achieve a smooth, glass-like finish. Each pen is individually signed by the artist and marked with a limited edition number using maki-e techniques, reinforcing its status as both a writing instrument and a work of decorative art. The pen is presented in a paulownia wood box, reflecting the care and tradition behind its making.

Free standard shipping via UPS on orders over $65. Rates for orders below this threshold are calculated at checkout.
Same-day delivery is available within 30km of 25 Bellair Street, Toronto, seven days a week — orders placed by 11am are delivered the same day; orders after 11am are delivered the following day. Flat fee of $14.95, applied automatically at checkout.

Standard Returns & Exchanges
We accept returns within 14 days of purchase and exchanges within 30 days, provided items are unused, in original condition, and in original packaging with proof of purchase.
Non-Returnable Items
Opened ink cartridges, pen refills, bottled ink, perishable goods, dated products, and gift cards cannot be returned.
Sale Items
Items discounted 25% or more are final sale and cannot be refunded or exchanged.
Refunds
