Futagami Brass Bookend

Founded in 1897 in Takaoka, Japan, Futagami has refined its craft for over a century. Embracing the Japanese concept of wabi-sabi, or beauty in imperfection, Futagami crafts objects meant to be used daily and passed down for generations. Their brass glows softly, a testament to patience and skilled craftsmanship.

With a distinct form and 6.25 lbs (2.85 kg) brass construction, these bookends are the perfect touch of considered design for any library or desk. Their curved shape and weight allow them to counter-balance heavy books while maintaining their charm. The brass will take on a beautiful camel-coloured patina within five years and gradually become a sophisticated russet tone after thirty years.
