Pilot Iroshizuku Ink Rice Ear (Ina-ho) 50ml
When we first asked our distributor to bring in Iroshizuku inks, we held our breath. Back in 2013, it was the most expensive ink we had ever brought in. We had heard great things about the quality, and oh, what a beautiful bottle! It took months to come from Japan on a boat. And then sold out almost immediately! After a few re-orders the distributor got on board and started to keep the range in stock.
It has been a staple ever since. Our customers are enthralled by nuanced colours: never just ‘blue’ or ‘black’ or ‘green’, but ‘deep cerulean’, ‘bamboo charcoal’ or ‘dew on pine tree’. These names are as descriptive as they are poetic. And many customers ask for them by their Japanese names, which is why we include both.
